We have a limited number of memberships available and are actively seeking interested candidates. We have therefore prepared this brief summary of attributes submitted for your review and consideration. We hope you will agree that there has never been a better time to become a member at Gaylord Country Club.

Exceptional Course

Our championship course opened in 1970 and in our forty first season has reached a fine state of maturity. It features a beautiful blend of open and tree lined holes meandering through hills and hardwoods. It is a player friendly design, yet doglegs, strategic hazards, undulating terrain and subtleties learned only through experience provide challenge as well as charm. Our greens are fast, true and arguably some of the best in northern Michigan. This is a course you will play and enjoy for a lifetime.

Impeccable Conditions

Even the best of courses is easily diminished if allowed to succumb to the forces of nature and outside play. This has become especially evident in the current economic climate. We have remained committed to our established history of beautiful tee boxes, lush fairways and manicured greens from the season’s start to finish. Our veteran course superintendant and crew have years of local knowledge supplemented by hundreds of dedicated members actively scrutinizing and preserving our quality of play. We are very proud of our product.

Invaluable Relationships

We offer far more than just golf. While many were drawn here by the course and its amenities, the eventual discovery of friendship and camaraderie quickly redefined our greatest asset as that of the membership itself. It is difficult not to be involved! We sponsor over twenty five annual themed golf and social events. We have weekly leagues, clinics, card nights, and skins games. We have a great deal of fun. By the season’s end you will have difficulty choosing between rounds played versus time spent at functions and parties on the clubhouse deck as favored recollections. There is a great reward in the membership experience.

We have a full range of membership categories that are designed to accommodate most life styles and budgets, including non-stock options for Trial and Corporate members. As a stock certificate holder, you are more than just a member; you become an owner. You have an opportunity to control your golf and social destiny. You will enjoy charging privileges, preferential tee times and discounts on food, beverages and merchandise. You will have reciprocal play opportunities that currently include a Tri-Club arrangement with Charlevoix and Indian River Country Clubs, where you will also be welcomed and treated as a member. You will have access to a great practice facility and receive personal instruction from our PGA professional. You will be enrolled in the Golf Association of Michigan and will carry a certified handicap. You will become accustomed to being welcomed and greeted by name.
